Pulsatile irrigation devices
Pulsatile irrigation devices are modern devices that pump saline out of a nozzle that can be inserted into a nostril. The flow rate pulsates into order to shift a greater amount of mucus and in the hope of stimulating the cilia (although this lacks clinical evidence). Some devices allow the user to control the pressure. Pulsatile irrigation devices provide the most effective irrigations but come with a considerably higher price tag.
